Role Overview
We are seeking an Application Support Engineer to provide functional and technical support for Oracle Cloud-based applications. The role involves application support, assisting with implementation activities, responding to user queries, troubleshooting system issues, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth business operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong SQL skills and a good understanding of Oracle technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day application support for Oracle Cloud-based applications.
Assist in implementation, enhancements, upgrades, and rollout activities.
Respond to user queries and provide timely issue resolution.
Perform basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis for application-related issues.
Monitor application performance and ensure system availability.
Execute SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and reporting purposes.
Coordinate with business users, development teams, and vendors for issue resolution.
Document incidents, resolutions, and support procedures.
Participate in testing activities during deployments and system changes.
Support user training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Ensure adherence to SLAs and support processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Strong experience in application support and incident management.
Good knowledge of SQL for querying and data analysis.
Basic to intermediate understanding of Java.
Experience in troubleshooting enterprise applications.
Understanding of application deployment and support processes.
Knowledge of Oracle Cloud applications and architecture.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Oracle Cloud Applications.
Exposure to Oracle WebLogic Server.
Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Web Applications.
Knowledge of integration and middleware concepts.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Key Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Experience supporting Oracle Cloud applications with hands-on SQL skills and exposure to Oracle WebLogic, Fusion applications, and Java-based environments.
