ConstructMind is built around three sequential workflows that take a project from raw documents to a committed, exportable Primavera P6 schedule. All three workflows are accessible to the Project Owner and Lead Planner.

Workflow 1: Generate

The Generate workflow is where ConstructMind reads your uploaded project documents and produces a structured schedule draft alongside a complete Basis of Schedule document.

What Generate extracts from your documents:
  • Activity list with AI-recommended durations and work breakdown
  • Predecessor and successor relationships (sequencing logic)
  • Key contractual milestones and constraint dates
  • Every scheduling assumption made, recorded in the Basis of Schedule

What to upload before running Generate

For best results, upload these documents before initiating the workflow:

  • Contract document (scope, milestones, contract type)
  • Scope of Works or Project Brief
  • Drawings and design packages
  • Technical specifications
  • Reference or baseline schedules from similar projects

TIP
The quality of the generated schedule reflects the completeness of your uploaded documents. Comprehensive scope and contract documentation produces more accurate and detailed schedule outputs.

Workflow 2: Review

The Review workflow presents every assumption in the Basis of Schedule as an individual item for your team to action. This is where your planners and project owner work through the AI’s decisions and approve, comment, or flag each one.

For each assumption, the Project Owner or Lead Planner can:

  • Approve — the assumption is accepted as documented
  • Comment — add a note or question for the team to address
  • Request change — flag the assumption for revision before it can be approved

The Export Gate

ConstructMind enforces a strict rule enforced at the API level: the XER export is locked until every assumption in the Basis of Schedule has been approved. No unapproved assumptions can make it into your Primavera P6 environment.

EXPORT GATE
XER export is blocked at the API level until 100% of Basis of Schedule assumptions carry an Approved status. Partially reviewed schedules cannot be exported by any user, including the Org Admin. This is by design.

Workflow 3: Assess

The Assess workflow evaluates the approved schedule against your project objectives and contract requirements — serving as a final quality check before the Project Owner commits the schedule for export.

Assess checks for:

  • Alignment with contractual milestone and completion dates
  • Critical path health and total float adequacy
  • Logic gaps or activities with missing predecessors
  • Schedule risk and buffer distribution
  • Consistency between the schedule and the Basis of Schedule

NOTE
Run Assess after all Review approvals are complete and before the Project Owner commits the schedule. It is your last checkpoint before the schedule leaves ConstructMind and enters Primavera P6.
