Contractor schedule reviews are a rush job. That's how things slip through.

Relationships that have been added, removed, or changed between baseline and submission in ways that artificially improve the appearance of progress or float. Identified at activity level.

Milestone drift and risk

Key milestones that have shifted in date, logic, or driving activities between baseline and current submission. Flagged with the root cause where identifiable.

Resource and productivity anomalies

Activities where productivity rates have been implicitly changed through duration adjustments that don't reflect resource levels. Common on projects with embedded resource manipulation.

Critical path changes

Has the critical path changed since baseline? Which activities are now driving the end date that weren't before and why? Visualised as a before/after comparison.

Float manipulation and hoarding

Activities where total float has been inflated through logic changes, constraint removal, or calendar manipulation. Particularly relevant on NEC and FIDIC contracts where float is contractually significant.

Under NEC contracts, shared float belongs to the project, not the contractor. Float sequestering by the contractor reduces the programme's ability to absorb future risk and can affect extension of time entitlement calculations.
