Frequently Asked Questions

No. Project creation is restricted to Org Admins and Org Managers. Org Members cannot create projects or request to do so. An Org Admin or Manager must create the project and add the Org Member to it.

Only the Project Owner can commit the schedule and download the XER export. The Lead Planner has full workflow access and can approve all assumptions, but the final commit and export step belongs exclusively to the Project Owner.

Yes. External users are invited directly to a specific project by the Project Owner. They receive Read Only access, can view all project documents and the Basis of Schedule, and have no visibility into any other projects or organisation settings.

No. The XER export is locked until every assumption in the Basis of Schedule has been approved. This rule is enforced at the API level and cannot be bypassed by any user role.

No. ConstructMind is a schedule preparation and assumption management platform. It produces a fully structured XER file for import into P6. Primavera P6 remains your system of record for live schedule management, reporting, and control.

Yes. The Project Owner role can be reassigned to another project member at any time by the current Project Owner or an Org Admin, from the Project Settings page.

Uploading a new or revised document after the Generate workflow has been run does not automatically update the schedule. The Project Owner or Lead Planner would need to re-run Generate to incorporate new document content. Any previously approved assumptions would need to be re-reviewed.

Why we built ConstructMind.

ConstructMind was not built by one person. And it was not built in isolation.

It came from the collective experience of a project controls consulting team. Their combined practice spans more than three decades. Some of our consultants have been working in project controls for 30 to 35 years. They have seen every version of this industry. Pre digital. Post digital. And everything in between.

They have been on the contractor side. The client side. The independent reviewer's side. What they have seen, consistently, across hundreds of projects and dozens of organizations, is the same set of problems repeating. Not because clients were not skilled enough. Not because planners were not diligent. The tools available to the profession have never kept pace with what the work actually requires.

I founded ConstructMind to address those problems at the root. Not to work around them. But the product reflects the knowledge of the whole team. The patterns we have seen across hundreds of client engagements. The gaps our clients have told us about directly. The standards that experienced practitioners know a good schedule has to meet.

Every feature in ConstructMind exists because someone on this team has sat across the table from a client who needed it. And did not have it.

Project controls has a tooling problem. It always has.

Construction is one of the most data-rich industries in the world. Every project generates thousands of data points. Quantities. Productivity rates. Logic relationships. Milestone dependencies. Resource constraints. All of it needs to be synthesized into a coherent schedule.

The tools to do that have barely changed in thirty years. Planners still spend most of their time collecting and formatting data. Not analyzing it. The basis of schedules is still written after the fact. Or not at all. Contractor submissions are still reviewed under time pressure that makes proper scrutiny practically impossible.

Our team has watched this play out across hundreds of client engagements. On projects of every size. In every sector. The pattern is consistent. It is not a competence problem. It is not a diligence problem. It is a tooling problem. The profession has been working around inadequate tools for decades. Absorbing the cost in rework, disputes, and defensibility gaps.

ConstructMind exists because we had seen enough. And because, between us, we knew exactly what a better tool needed to do.

The planning profession deserves better tools. Not tools that replace planners. Tools that let planners be better at what only planners can do.

Meet Coco.

Coco is ConstructMind's AI planning assistant. The first member of

your planning team.

Coco never misses a logic gap. Never forgets a productivity rate. And never runs out of time to review a contractor submission.

Coco lives inside your ConstructMind workspace. Alongside your Gantt chart and your documents. Coco reviews your schedule, gives you an honest quality score, and tells you exactly what to fix before you baseline.

Coco is not a chatbot. Coco does not just answer questions. Coco has a point of view. Formed from the same construction scheduling standards that experienced planners use. Coco shares it clearly. With references.

Coco does not think like a planner. Coco thinks faster.

But Coco was built by one

Our mission.

To give every construction planner the intelligence, the documentation, and the time to do the work that only they can do.

ConstructMind exists to close the gap between what project controls professionals are capable of and what the tools currently available allow them to do. We are not here to automate the planning profession. We are here to make it better.

The best planners we have worked with spend most of their time on tasks that do not require their expertise. Data collection. Formatting. Reformatting. Responding to review comments on schedules that were built correctly but cannot be defended because the documentation is not there.

We built ConstructMind because we knew what those hours were worth. And what the profession could do with them back.

What we believe about construction planning.

Planners are the most undervalued people on a project

Project controls professionals carry more risk, produce more value, and receive less recognition than almost anyone else involved in delivery. ConstructMind is built to change that. Not by making planners unnecessary. By making everything they produce more visible, more defensible, and more impactful.

A schedule without a basis is just a picture of hope.

The most important thing a schedule can be is defensible. Not just accurate. Defensible. That means documented assumptions, traceable durations, and an audit trail that holds up when someone asks a hard question six months later. Every ConstructMind output is built on this principle.

AI should explain itself.

Planners are skeptical of tools that produce outputs they cannot verify. Coco does not just give answers. Coco gives references. Every recommendation comes with a reason. Every finding comes with activity level detail. If Coco cannot explain it, Coco does not say it.

The best tool is the one that fits your workflow.

ConstructMind does not ask you to abandon Primavera P6. It reads XER files and exports XER files. It works within the scheduling standards you already know. The goal is to make your existing process better. Not to replace it with something that requires retraining everyone and rebuilding everything.

Built from practice. Delivered through partners.

ConstructMind is an independent AI product company. Every capability in the platform was shaped by real project controls practice. Built by people who have used these tools on live projects. Not designed in a lab and tested in theory.

Our team brings together practitioners with between 15 and 35 years of experience in project controls. Across infrastructure, energy, and building construction. We have worked as contractors, as owners' engineers, as independent reviewers, and as program directors. We know what the profession needs because we have spent our careers in it. And we know what is missing in the market because our clients have told us. Repeatedly. Across hundreds of engagements.

That depth of collective experience is what makes ConstructMind different from AI tools built by people who have never read an XER file. Or sat in a schedule review meeting.

ConstructMind is sold, implemented, and supported through a network of specialist system integration partners. Led by Compass Consult, ConstructMind's exclusive strategic integration partner for go-to-market. This model ensures every customer receives expert implementation support alongside the product.

From MVP to enterprise.

In six months.

We build for planners because we are planners. That means showing up where planners do. At industry events. In conversations about the profession. In the ongoing debate about what better project controls actually look like.

ConstructMind has moved fast. Here is where it has been.

September 2025

Project Controls Expo, Washington DC

ConstructMind made its first public appearance as an MVP at the Project Controls Expo in Washington DC. The response from the project controls community confirmed what we had built mattered. Real planners. Real problems. Real interest.

November 2025

Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne

ConstructMind was showcased for the second time at an industry event held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Still an MVP. Already drawing serious conversations with practitioners who recognized the gap it was filling.

Early 2026

Enterprise product and live pilots

Over six months, ConstructMind evolved from MVP to enterprise grade platform. A select group of customers are now running active pilots. They are using their own data. They are getting faster outcomes. And they are getting better ones. The pilots are working.

April 2026

Project Controls Summit, Lake Conroe, Texas

Girish Bhatia presented ConstructMind at the Project Controls Summit in Texas. The first major PCS presentation of the enterprise platform. The session focused on AI assisted schedule generation and what defensibility means in a modern planning workflow.
